The ballots have been counted, and Kansas voters are in favor of a woman’s right to access safe and legal abortion care. I was proud to support Kansans for Constitutional Freedom, who put in the work to ensure that Kansas voters came to the polls to protect their rights.
Roe is gone, but the rights it recognized must not be lost. The right to an abortion will be on the ballot across this country, and today’s vote is proof that these contests are winnable.
