Mike Bloomberg on methane regulations roll back

AUG. 29, 2019

Rolling back regulations on methane emissions is a foolish and dangerous step backwards that even many gas and oil companies oppose. Methane is a major contributor to climate change and methane leaks cost companies and consumers money, so eliminating emissions rules will harm our economy and our planet. This is another outrageous example of the Trump Administration siding with special interests over the American people. In 2020 we’re going to elect leaders who will confront the climate crisis and put the public’s health and safety first - and in the meantime, we’ll keep working with cities, states, and citizens to pass smart policies that cut emissions and grow the economy.

MIKE BLOOMBERG

U.N. Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Cities and Climate Change and President of the Board of the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group.

IN MIKE'S WORDS

There are so many facets to climate change that make it difficult to address, but you don’t give up just because it’s difficult. You work harder.
