Former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg is putting in $1.2 million toward a direct mail campaign aimed at tanking Donald Trump‘s support with Florida’s seniors. Bloomberg will fund the program in concert with the Center for Essential Information PAC, an organization which supports Joe Biden‘s presidential bid. The direct mail campaign will target 875,000 seniors throughout the state. Bloomberg has promised to spend $100 million to help Biden defeat Trump this fall. Bloomberg himself made a late entry into the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, but failed to court enough support to sustain his campaign.

Mike Bloomberg and Miami-Dade County Democratic Executive Committee (DEC) announced today a $500,000 contribution from Mike Bloomberg to strengthen canvassing and Get Out the Vote efforts across the county. This is the DEC’s largest contribution since first recording contributions in 1969. Mike Bloomberg’s funding arrives at a crucial time in Miami-Dade as diversity and Democratic support are both increasing. The first ad, titled “Vote Joe,” highlights Joe Biden’s work to secure access to affordable and quality healthcare for millions of Latinos through the creation of Obamacare, as well as the former Vice President’s legacy in restoring the nation after the 2009 recession and his commitment to work on behalf of Puerto Rico, still healing from a catastrophic hurricane, still-ongoing earthquakes and a fiscal crisis. The TV ad, beginning today, will air in Spanish-language in Tampa and Orlando Markets. The upcoming radio ads will air in Spanish and English languages.
